Casa Manila is a tiny renovated cottage sharing a private saltwater lap pool with two sister houses, tucked into the Alentejo countryside. It's the smaller-scale version of the stay next door — one comfortable ground-floor bedroom, a mezzanine for two more, and full access to the same shared pool and garden. No wifi, no television, no hotel polish. Just genuine countryside quiet, on foot from the Santiago trail and a short drive from the wild Costa Vicentina coast.

Home truths
The mezzanine is reached by steep, unrailed stairs — not advisable for small children, guests with limited mobility, or after a glass of wine too many.
There's no wifi and no TV at this stage. Bring a book.
Hot water takes a few minutes to arrive — the heat pump lives out in the annex.
The pool, garden, and access road are shared with Casa Lisboa and Casa Maputo — quiet hours (10pm–8am) matter more here than in a standalone house.
This is genuine countryside: expect bugs, geckos, and birdsong as standard, not a fault to report.
